Muusika

Whilst I was in France, my awesome aunt sent me this great colouring book - it sounds more childish than it is - filled with artists of the indie rock genre. Here are some of my favourites (a surprising amount of which have massive beards)...

Andrew Bird; Au Revoir Simone; Bon Iver; Broken Social Scene; Devendra Banhart; Iron and Wine; MGMT; Noah and the Whale; The National; The New Pornographers; The Shins; Yeah Yeah Yeahs

My perfume of choice...

Let me be the first to say, yes, as much as I hate it, I am completely influenced by advertising. One of the best examples of this is when I was choosing my perfume. I was sooo tempted to just buy Chanel No. 5 just because of its fame, even though I think it smells like an old lady. So, eventually I went with the perfume I like the best which was Miss Dior Cherie, but here are some of the other perfume ads I liked...

Also, here is the ad for Miss Dior Cherie, which I loved. The model, Maryna Linchuck, plus the Brigitte Bardot's 'Moi Je Joue' make me desperately want to go back to Paris...

Sweet Home Alabama

Look, don't get me wrong. I dislike those American flag shorts and stuff. But that's mainly because I dislike clothes that alot of people are wearing, and I like clothes to have a story behind them. But I love the old Confederate flag (disregarding what it represents) and its inherent 'country-ness'. I love the original Daisy Duke, and I LOVE that Lynrd Skynrd emblem. I have this t-shirt that was my Dad's when he was younger and went to America, that reads 'Kentucky Rebel' and has the flag on it. Its just about my favourite tshirt its great. And I know this won't really make sense, but I sense this is my only time to say it...Sweet Home Alabama...indeed
